HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it, HALLOWEEN is here! I am so excited. I can't believe this is my last project...it's exciting and sad at the same time, :) :(.
I hope you all have enjoyed this Halloween showcase that Terra and I have put on for you this month. We have had so much fun doing it! I also want to thank all of the DT members and Shannon for letting me participate in there weekly blog hop Wednesday! I had so much fun!

Today I am continuing and concluding my projects made from RAKs and Swaps from Terra, Kas, and Rosie. I made a decoration to put on my table outside, while I am handing out candy, that I could surround with candles and lights! I have had this wooden cube for several years so when I got the swap from Terra and Kas and saw all the lovely images and embellishments, I knew right away what I was going to do. I saw the paper napkins that were in there and immediatly thought, I am covering something with that!!!! So that is what I did. I used a mod podge like substance to attatch it to the cube and then covered the whole thing with it so that it would be a little shiny and stiff. Then I took the images and instead of coloring each one I used Slate alcohol ink, Fired Brick and Weathered Wood Distress inks from Ranger products on each one. I love the image on the top as it looks like he is crawling out of the box, and the shiny skulls just add a little sumptin, sumptin... I didn't add anything to the bottom as it would be sitting on the table the whole time but there is something for every other side! The ribbon is attached to around the edge using teeny tiny nails that I found in the garage...Hope the Hubby didn't need them for anything! Oh Well! It's plain and simple but the depth of the napkin and the distressed look of the images make it look like I spent days on it ( I think) when really it only took a couple of hours! I hope you enjoy!

This month has been awesome and I want to thank each and everyone of you for participating in the challenges and for all the lovely comments you have left! I greatly appreciate them!

This month I also received some very lovely RAKs and participated in some awesome swaps. So my project for today is to use the items I received from these lovely people who sent me things. THANK YOU TERRA, KAS, AND ROSIE! Today I am showing a card that I made for the Bombshell October Sketch challenge. I am saying now that I only know the names of some of the companies that my materials are from as they are all from RAKs. So the papers I used on this card are very lovely and from the RAK, the stamp is from Bombshell stamps, the ribbon is from a RAK and the cardstock is from Stampin Up! Oh yeah the microbeads are from Pennywise Arts!

I love the sketch that was put out for us! It is awesome!
Here is my card!

Thursdays Microbeads Challenge!!!

Hello all and welcome to the last challenge of the month!!!!! I reallyhope that you have all enjoyed these challenges that Terra and I have brought to you and I greatly appreciate everyone who has participated in them! Today Terra and I have coordinated our projects and offer you a themed challenge. Our projects today are based around Microbeads, and your challenge is to share your own project using Microbeads by linking it to a comment at the end of this post!
Easy peasy...

I have created a couple of ATCs for you today. I love microbeads and use them whenever possible. I also coordinate a swap over on the Pennywise Art Group for ATCs everymonth. Check us out!

The first one I used a backgroud from Itkupilli then added the black microbeads to the ground and a skeleton from Bombshell clawing his way up!! For the moon I didn't want just clear microbeads and although they come in many colors I decided to make my own. I took clear microbeads and mixed them with Slate colored Alcohol Ink. Then baked them at the lowest setting of my oven until they were dried out. You can leave them out in the open to dry, usually overnight, but we all know that I do not have the will to wait for anything when it comes to crafting! The second is a witch, also from Itkupilli with black microbeads in the sky and the same self colored microbeads for the words at the bottom.

Now that you have seen my challenge project for the day, leave me a comment and let me know if you participated, even if you don't want to participate leave a comment. Comments equal entries!!!! Then hop on over to Terra's to see what she has for you today!

Mans Ruin Coffin

Welcome everyone to the last Wednesday of our 31 Days of Halloween extravaganza. Today is Bombshell Blog hop day and I am supe excited to be participating with them today!

The challenge for today was to use the coffin template that was provided to create your own Coffin and do it up Bombshell Style! That is exactly what I did... I had this little skeleton and thought that he would be perfect for this. I used several Bombshell sets, Mans Ruin, Bombshell Angel, Butterfly Queen, and Retro Cowgirls.

You know when you see something and you make up a little story in your mind about what happened...well thats what I did. I saw the coffin template and the skull and thought, why not use these Bombshell Pin-up on the coffin to show the reason this "man" found his way into "skeletonville". Well it made sense in my head!!! This is what I came up with. I painted the coffin black and then added my beloved grout to the inside so that it had that "fluffy" look, like the inside of a coffin. Then stamped the pin-ups in clay along with the skulls and the words Man's Ruin. I added little dots on the coffin lid with a paint pen and some bling here and there!!!

Twisted Tuesday Altered Book

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I hope that you are all enjoying our 31 days of Halloween! I can't believe its almost over. I have had so much fun making all of my projects this month.

Today I decided to make an altered book. I used the skull from Bombshell Stamps. I also wanted to do more non=traditional colors so I used blues and greens. I love how it turned out! I got the little "matchbook" notebook from the $ spot at Michael's. The paper started out as Stampin Up cardstock in River Rock, an older in color that I loved so bought lots of!!! Then I used slate and meadow colored alcohol ink to color it, then distressed it with weathered wood distress ink from Ranger products. I also used these same colors on all of the ribbon accents. They all started out as white! The mini paperclips and mini safty pins are also from ranger prodcuts. That is part of what I picked up at the scrapbooking convention this weekend! That was so much fun. The phrase says "creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. art is knowing which ones to keep" I LOVE THAT!

Wicked Bat....Patterned Paper Challenge

Hello fellow Halloween lovers and stamping friends! I am so glad that you dropped by today. I am very excited to be sharing this project with you today. Today is Monday and Terra and I have coordinated our projects and offer you a themed challenge. Our projects today are based around Patterned Paper, and your challenge is to share your own project using Patterned Paper by linking it to a comment at the end of this post!
Easy peasy...

My cards today are made using a fairly new technique to me. It is called Iris Folding, and I am sure that many have heard of it before, just not me. I found the pattern and instructions on Circle of Crafters. There are several free patterns to work with for all occasions, so go and check them out! Today I have made a bat and a cat! The patterned paper I used for the bat came from Stampin' Up. I believe it was last years Halloween papers, it could be older. The papers for the cat came from Michaels, and I am sorry to say that I cut the little name tab on the bottom off a while ago and forgot to write it down so I am not sure of the company! Sorry.

Full Front Tri-Fold Card

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend. I know I am, I got some really great things at the convention yesterday!!! I'll be using some of those items in the next few days! Thank you all so very much for your lovely comments, I greatly appreciate them. Today I am showing you a card I made about a month or so ago because...well I was at the convention all day!!! :))

This is a full front tri-fold card, and I am going to include a mini tutorial for this project! These are only the directions for cutting, scoring, and folding your card. It is up to you to decorate it any way you like.

Step 1: Cut your card stock to 5 1/2 x 11.
Step 2: Score your cardstock. I know it is hard to see the numbers in the picture so the measurements, from left to right, are as follows; 3 3/4, 1 13/16, 1 13/16, 1 13/16, 1 13/16.

Step 3: Fold along your score lines. On long side measure 1" in between the last two 1 13/16 score lines as indicated in picture above. Do this from top and bottom. Cut that line from score line to score line. ( I hope this makes sense.)
Here is one way that your card can be folded.
Here is my finished card.

Hope you enjoy this and I would love to see what you come up with. Now that you have seen my project for the day, and left a comment for your daily entry into the drawing. Hop on over to Smeared and Smudged and see wwhat Terra has made for you today!!! For more information on how to earn eentries for the blog candy drawing please read the sidebar!!

Creepy Cooking, Oh My!

Happy Saturday everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful day! I am so excited for today, there is a scrapping, stamping, paper art show in town and I am so going...I can't wait!!! I wanted to thank you all for your lovely comments, and to those who have asked how to do something, don't think I have forgotten. I will get the instructions to you as soon as possible. It makes me happy that you all like my projects and cards!

Today I decided to make another page for my Halloween Art Journal. I found this digi image and at first look it's just a little ole' Gypsy lady cooking, but you know me...I had to make her into something she really isn't. I decided to make her creepy and goopy and have her cooking something that looks entirely inedible, with her little demon dog waiting for a taste. The floor was made with grout that I stamped a checkered background into then painted. The wall is painted and sprayed with Walnut ink. The body parts all over are from a skeleton I got at Target for like 50 cents because one of his legs was put on backwards. I thought so what it’s a skeleton who cares if he has a backwards leg, that just makes it all the creepier so I took it!!! I knew I could use it for something! I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and then adhered it to the chipboard page with Omni Gel. I love that stuff!

Freaky Coasters

Welcome back everyone and let me start off by saying Thank you all so very much for all of your lovely comments. It makes me very happy to know that you are enjoying the 31 Days of Halloween that Terra and I are putting on for you. As you know the more you comment and participate in our challenges the more entries you get for the HUGH blog candy!!! Also if you add one of our blinkies from the sidebar to your blog and let us know about it you will get even more entries!

On to todays project... At least twice a month the Hubby and I go out to thrift stores and flea markets, we would go more if he got his way. Anyway one such day we ended up at the Habitat for Humanity Resale Store and I gound these cute litte octagon shaped tiles. I thought, there has got to be something I can do with those and hey they were only 25 cents each so I picked up a few dollars worth. Well I figured out what I was going to do with them a couple of days ago and you get to see the results. I decided that I was going to make coasters with them so I called everyone into the craft room and told them to pick out their favorite Halloween stamps so that each of us could have our own coaster!

Of course my Daughter picked out the Skull and my son the cat. For the skull I used alcohol inks, slate, currant, and meadow to dotted them all over. Then stamped the image with SU white craft ink and then embossed with white embossing powder! The cat was stamped with black stazon and then colored in with paint pens. The pumpkin patch is for me and the hubby, I only took a picture of one though. It was also stamped in stazon and colored with paint pens. I then sprayed them all with a matte sealer so that they wouldn't peel, or chip when used.

Now I am imagining all of the things I can do with coasters for every holiday or season!!

You know the drill...now that you have seen my project and commented hop on over to Terras at Smeared and Smudged to see what freakishly awesome project she has for you today!

Wickedly "Bliss"ful

Since today is Thursday, Terra and I have decided to coordinate our projects to offer you a challenge. Today's challenge is GLITTER! You can make anything you want as long as you use glitter on your project somewhere!!! Remember when you participate in our challenges on Monday's and Thursday's, you get more entires into the drawing for the blog candy!

The card I made today has a little twist on this beautiful pin-up called Bliss from Victoria Case and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. I thought why not make her a little wicked...so I did. I used the spooky skyline wheel from SU in the background. Also I wanted her to be completly different so I used red and black instead of the more traditional Halloween colors. The skyline was stamped with SU craft ink, black, and then while still wet I put ultra fine glitter from Michaels over it. The moon was punched out on white cardstock, lightly colored with gray, then Diamond and Black Stickles were added. Black stickles was also used on the skyline in a few places and also in her hair.

While I was coloring her I kept thinking of different ways to do the background of the card and then thought why not make it look like she was just sitting on the ground after having a little snack with the spooky skyline behind her with a big full moon, and ummmmm OOOPPPPSSSS is that a little trickle of blood remaining from her snack...oh well it's a good thing she is wearing "blood" red anyway!!!

Now that you have seen my project go on over and check out Terra's!

Yummy Yummy Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone! What a great day it is! I hope that you are all having a great day. Today I decided I wanted to keep doing things for the inside of the house so I decided to stamp and paint these little ceramic bread pans that I picked up at Michael's the other day. I stamped the images with black stazon ink and then colored with paint pens. Its that simple, and don't worry about smearing the ink when you stamp, as I found out today it is easy to do, but rubbing alcohol will take it right off of the pot for you! I have used these to store some candy in but I have more that I am going decorate to put some baked goods in, then wrap with cellophane and give as gifts to my son's teacher and a few of the neighbors here.

Pumpkin Pot Centerpiece

Hello everyone and welcome back or to 31 Days of Halloween! I want to thank everyone for their lovely comments on my posts. It makes me happy that you like my projects. I hope you enjoyed our embossing challenge from yesterday and I can't wait to see what you create.

Today I decided I finially needed to start on my inside decorations so I painted this cute little pot to look like a jack-o-lantern and then added flowers. He will be going on the buffet table with candles and other little things around the bottom. I think he turned out very cute and after Halloween I can just turn him around and then he's just a painted pumpkin for fall!!!

Guardian Elf..embossing challenge

Hello fellow Halloween lovers and stamping friends! I am so glad that you dropped by today. I am very excited to be sharing this project with you today. Today is Monday and Terra and I have coordinated our projects and offer you a themed challenge. Our projects today are based around Embossing, and your challenge is to share your own project using embossing by linking it to a comment at the end of this post!
Easy peasy...

My card today is based on the idea that the wicked witch trapped this little elf so that she would have someone to watch over her brew to make sure noting or no one escaped!!! I colored the elf with prismacolor pencils and then embossed with clear powder. The cauldron and skeleton are from Bombshell stamps I double stamped the cauldron and then offset one on top of the other with pop dots. The color of the embossing powder on the cauldron is a mixture of silver, white, black, and brown with a little clear thrown in for good measure!!! I then stamped the skeleton on black and embossed with white! The buttons and spider just give it that little something that it needed to make it look complete!

Day 18... Halloween Gift Bag

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have all had a great weekend and that you were able to do what you wanted! I also hope that you are all enjoying this 31 Days of Halloween that Terra and I are featuring. I know that we are both having fun making project, and creating challenges for you!

I don't know about you but sometimes I like to go to what I call a "grown up" party. You know the kind where you get to hire a babysitter or at least have the oldest child stay home with the younger!!! I think it is nice to be able to take that hostess a little something so today I decided to make something that we could take to that last minute party we were invited to. Even that party that we have been planning on going to for weeks now. I know that when I go to a "grown up" party I like to take the hostess something, and me being me, it is usually something that we can consume!!! LOL So I decided that I was going to emboss a little Halloween image and saying onto a wine gift bag. I picked up several of these little bags in all colors from the $ spot at Michaels. I placed a piece of cardboard in the middle and stamped my image and saying with versamark. Then added black embossing powder and heated. You have to be careful with the heat gun and keep it moving at all times, also don't get to close to the bag or it will melt it!!! Yep found that out the hard way!!! I hope you enjoy!

Leave me some love, or at least tell me what you think and then hop on over to Smeared and Smudged and show Terra some!!!

Day17... Spooky House Saturday

Hello everyone, Happy Saturday! I hope you are all having a great day. I just wanted to say how happy it makes me that you are all joining Terra and I on our Halloween excursion. I hope that you are all enjoying our projects and that you take the time to participate in them for yourselves.

Today I decided to make a SPOOKY ATC. This ATC was made quite honestly because my dremel tool was broken and we didn't have a bit small enough for the drill to make holes in the dominoes so that i could lace them together. The background is a patterned paper I made. I used chipboard and fingerpainted orange, purple, white, black, and green acrylic paints on it. While still wet I ran the SU spooky skyline wheel through it. Then sprinkled black and orange confetti stars, orange glitter and green glitter on it. The Haunted House image is one that I got from the $ spot at Michaels. I stamped them with stazon in and colored with paint pens and sharpies. The word at the bottome is from a set of stickers that I bought eons ago. So let me know what you think of today's project, and remember to hop on over to see what Terra over on Smeared and Smudged created today!

Day 16...Spooky Garage earrings!

Hello everyone and welcome to freaky Friday on 31 days of Halloween!!!  Today my project reflects a personal challenge of Terra.  Although we get together on Mondays and Thursdays and offer you challenges for more entires to 31 days of Halloween Terra offers her own challenge on Tuesdays. They are called Twisted Tuesdays and you can find them on Smeared and Smudged. There is always a cool twist on what she wants you to do. This week she asked that you use a piece of real hardware (from the hardware store, not the scrapbooking store) somewhere on your project. So that is what I did, I made earrings. I used a skull stamp from Bombshell stamps and stamped in lightweight clay, then baked cooled and painted them. I added dangling lock washers and wing nuts. It was quite fun raiding the garage for my things and luckily I found some in new packages. Now I'm just going to pretend I never saw them when the hubby asks for them...LOL no really he probably won't they were in the bottom drawer of the big tool box he has. Of course the last place I looked!

I hope that you enjoy them and I can't wait to see what you create when you participate in Terras Tuesday Challenge, and also in our combined Monday and Thursday Challenges!!!!

Day 15... Watercolor Challenge Day

Since today is Thursday, Terra and I have decided to coordinate our projects to offer you a challenge. Today's challenge is WATERCOLORING! You can watercolor a picture, a background, one little spot, anything you want as long a you watercolor!!! Remember when you participate in our challenges on Monday's and Thursday's, you get more entires into the drawing for the blog candy!

In my project I used a Bombshell image, but decided that I wanted to make it a spooky pirate ship instead of a colorful sailing ship. I used SU watercolor pencils and colored the whole picture, adding perfect pearls in spots to give it a little shimmer. The patterned paper is some that i got from Michael's eons ago. Those who know me well know that I cannot walk out of any craft store without patterned paper, no matter what!!! It hurts when I have to leave a store without my paper fix!! LOL

Now that you have seen my project go on over and check out Terra's!

If you'd like to participate in the challenge, link to your finished watercolored project in a comment below this post. And don't forget, any comment will get you Blog Candy points! See you tomorrow!

Day 14...Apple SPOOKTINI anyone

Hello my stamping friends. I hope this is an awesome day for you. My project today is a card created to go along with the Bombshell Blog Hop. Although I did not follow the theme today I did use a Bombshell stamp in my project. I used the pin up from the Mans Ruin collection, isn't she awesome. The monthly challenge for Bombshell this month was to use black, gree, orange, and the optional purple in your creation so this is what I came up with. I colored her with prismacolor pencils. The spiderwebs and spider are from a confetti package I got from Michaels, and the words are printed off my computer.

Hello everyone, first let me start off by saying thank you so very much for all of your lovely comments. It makes me very happy to know that you all like my creations. I hope that you all enjoyed our Monday challenge of Pumpkins. I also hope that you all will participate in our challenges.

Today I decided to make a wicked ATC. This ATC was made for a swap that I do over on Pennywisearts Yahoo group. The background is a patterned paper I made. I used chipboard and fingerpainted orange, purple, white, black, and green acrylic paints on it. While still wet I ran the SU spooky skyline wheel through it. Then sprinkled black and orange confetti stars, orange glitter and green glitter on it. The skull image is from Bombshell stamps. Stamped on white cardstock with stazon ink then misted with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and slate alcohol ink and colored with sharpie pens. The rose is stamped in clay and after baked and cooled, colored with sharpie pens and alcohol ink. The word was printed from my computer.
So let me know what you think of today's project, and remember to hop on over to see what Terra over on Smeared and Smudged created today!

The necklace was made with pumpkins that were from a broken braclet that I had.

Day 11... Criss Cross

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you have all had a great weekend and that you were able to do what you wanted! I also hope that you are all enjoying this 31 Days of Halloween that Terra and I are featuring. I know that we are both having fun making project, and creating challenges for you!

This is the full cardThis is the insert!
Leave me some love, or at least tell me what you think and then hop on over to Smeared and Smudged and show Terra some!!!
