She set for us to make a monochromatic tag!  Which is perfect as my daughters birthday is next month and the sooner I get things made the sooner I can relax about it... she only turns 18 once!!!  yes I have tears, my baby can't be 18!!!!!

Bombshell Sketch Challenge

I am posting my take on the Bombshell sketch challenge this month.  I am running late this month, it is proving harder than I thought getting back into a schedule after the move, who knew it would be so hard!!!

So Kathi gave us a wonderful sketch and of course I flipped it and shrunk it to fit onto a ATC....

I used Growing Hearts stamp set and made it monochromatic so that the heart stood out!

Movie Magic monthly #3

Hello my lovelies, I am back, I know it's been a while but this move was massive!!  Anyway I am back and getting into the swing of things again and I am back today with the new challenge over at Movie Magic Monthly!  This month we are doing Harry Potter vs. Lord of the Rings.. Now you all know how much of a HP nerd I am and how much I love HP, but I have a very strong love for LotR too!!!  It was so hard to decide what to do for my first project, but alas time and ease won out and I made a wand to represent HP...

This was super easy to do, I mean crazy stupid easy!!!  I had seen pictures online and of course they are all over pinterest but peeps it's crazy stupid easy!!!  What you need is a chopstick, hot glue, and paint... that's it...


You add the hot glue to the chop stick and mold it how you want it to look, you do need to wait til it cools but I have a low temp glue gun that I used!!!  You can add anything to it, beads to give it more texture anything... I went simple with just the hot glue this time but I do have to say that I am thinking of a dowel and some gems for a staff for later this month.... Just sayin....

Here it is and remember you don't have to use an image to play along, you can make anything that represents the challenge theme as long as it is a new project!!!!  So come on over and let me see them!!!!

30 Days of lists day 5 through 17

Hello lovelies, I told you earlier that I was participating the 30 days of lists this month and wow I didn't realize how hard it was going to be... Ok making lists, that easy as pie really cause I make them all the time... I have books and books of lists and receipts full of lists and just lists everywhere... what I didn't realize is that it would be so hard for me to keep up on journaling them and I should have know because were moving this month and there is packing and purging and cleaning and , and, and, and you get the picture right... 

Ok so to catch up on the lists I have done... Now the first 4 lists of the month were pretty and decorated and art journal worthy... there are a couple like that here as well then the proverbial shit hits the fan and I realized exactly how much time I didn't have to get the whole house purged, packed and cleaned so the rest are just lists written on their own page in the journal  I started for this project and hopefully they will get some watercolor on them after the move but I sure as hell can't promise anything...

Oh and note to self and you... do not take pictures with your phone at 7 am sunday morning after getting up at 5:30 am and having a pot and a half of coffee... so in advance sorry for the fuzzy pics on some of them I will try to get the camera out after I am able to get color on them hopefully...

Ok so now the pics and lists and it will have to hurry cause the dogs are getting up and will be ready to eat and potty in a few...

and the dogs are up and whining and i need to go so they don't wake up the whole house cause there is nothing worse than cranky people on a sunday morning.... You should be able to click on the pictures to make them larger so you can read the lists if you want to!!!

30 days of Lists...

Hello lovelies,  I have been doing the 30 days of lists this month.  I had just been posting them on the flicker group but my friend Alison suggested that I blog about them so here I am... 

Now I cannot promise you that I will post everyday, but I can promise you all of my lists will make it to the blog!!!  Like today for example I have the first 4 days to show you today!! 

Day 1:  I am a lister because:

-Lists are fun

-If I don't write it down I won't remember

-It makes me feel productive

-It helps me realize exactly what I need/have to do

-I love to see all the things I am able to mark off my lists

Day 2: What makes me, me:

-I am a wife, mother, friend, sister, daughter

-I love to color my hair and paint my nails

-I am an Artist

-I am overweight

-I have medical problems

-I watch way to much TV

-I am a food lover

-I am a doodler

-I am addicted to my phone and facebook

 

Day 3:  This _____ I am going to____:

 

I chose to work on the month so:

This month I am going to:

-purge every room in my house

-jumpstart my exercise program

Now I have been putting my lists into a small journal I kept out while packing...  I filled up my rolling crop thing a ma jig that I have with some art supplies to keep out while we were packing and moving this month!  I have my BOD in there and some things to work on life book 2013 with.  Mostly it's just watercolor crayons and pencils, color pencils, and soft pastels.. also so me stencils.  So my pages aren't very elaborate but i am loving how they are looking!!!  I will be back sometime later this week or early next with the next few days!!!  I hope you are enjoying!!
