ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE

It's that time again my lovlies, Bombshell Blog Hop time, here is what our lovely Inky Button has to say about the first Bombshell Blog Hop of the Year!

"We all have our own home remedies...a pinch of this, with a dash of that and gargle. *giggle Well, it's time to put your thinkin' caps on, and ALTER an item you have laying around. That's right...don't be content with that over the counter crafting stuff...take something you have and give it a little bit of TLC; a pinch of this glitter and a splash of that alcohol ink. (Hopefully you won't have to gargle....*wink) Let your imaginations run wild as you use your Bombshells to breathe new life into an otherwise boring item.

We will be Hoppin' this challenge on January 27th. So if you're interested in joining us for this hop, leave a comment here no later than Monday January 25th. Then, come back on the 26th to pick up the HTML code for the list of hoppers to add to your post. It's as easy as that. If you participate in the hop you receive an entry into this month's prize package, and if you choose to just hop and comment you'll be entered for that too! It's a win-win for us all!

Can't wait to see what you come up with! Hop or be hopped for your chance to win the fabulous prize package shown below!"

So for my project I decided to use an old cork board I had lying around. I had picked this up from the dollar store a while ago knowing I wanted to do something with it and this blog hop was the perfect opportunity. When I pulled it out of the box of never ending things to alter! LOL It had a crappy blue band around it that was held on with hot glue that was coming off so I just helped it along and ripped it all the way off!!:) I used Butterfly Queen and Bombshell Angel stamp sets. Chipboard butterflies with perfect pearls(thanks to my son who said it needed a little more sumtin!!!) and flowers that I have had forever! The ribbon is from SU. I colored my Angel and the butterflies with Copic markers!

Now that you have checked out my project for the hop head on over to these other lovely blogs and keep on hoppin!!!!!!

You Make me SCREAM!!!!!

I know, I can't believe it either, I am updating regulary again!!! LOL

No seriously, I have made myself a schedule and I am sticking to it!!! I take the hubby to the ship on Monday night, they pull out on Tuesday, and he will be gone for the better part of the year! I know sad, but that just means the end is near for us! He is either going to retire and we will be done with the Navy, or he will transfer and we will be done with this state! Either way, we are done with this state! So now that I am not running around going crazy trying to get things done for him and get the kids, mostly my son, mentally ready for him to be gone, I can concentrate on me a little everyday and get some things done that I have been putting off!!!

Today, I have another project for Smeared and Smudged! This project went into the Perfect Pinups Group over there! If you are into, Vintage, Gothic, Alternative, and just all around different then the Smeared and Smudged Ning group is the place for you! I would love to see you all come over and join! Ok on with my card for the Perfect pinups group. I used some digi stamps from Victoria Case. The card stock is from SU and so is the decorative paper. I used my copic markers to color them! I am so loving those markers, I got some for christmas!

Winter Watcher Mini Journal

HAPPY 2010 EVERYONE!!!!!

Today I am showing a mini journal that I made.  Usually I take a journal that I have purchased and alter it, today I made this journal from the cover to the inside.  I used small board books from SU for the covers and just regular printer paper for the inside pages.  The stamp is from Sweet Pea Stamps she is called Winter Watcher.  This was my first chance to use my copic markers that I got for Christmas and I was so excited.  I think I colored her about 5 different times before I finally got it the way I wanted, but what better excuse to play with my new toys!!!!  I bound the journal with small rings and then wrapped those in black fiber ribbon.  The ribbon that closes the journal is from a store(Aerie) where i got a present for my daughter.  They always put your purchases in a little gift bag with tissue paper and ribbon!  I hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoyed palying with her.  Please go and check out Sweet Pea stamps if you haven't before or even if it has been a while,  they have some awesome images over there!

On another note check out all the things happening over on Smeared and Smudged there are some awesome challenges and this months sponsor is Fairie Song.
