Sending Christmas Cheer

Hey guys, today I have a card made using the Christmas Cheer stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  It is also featuring the New December Sparkle Blend Juniper Berries from Doodles Paper Playground!   I love the colors of this set!  I love snowflakes, so I had to put the two together!!!

I am not sure you would consider this a clean and simple card because of the sequins on it, but for me it is clean and simple!!!  I used every snowflake stamp from the Christmas Cheer set and Archival inks in Forget-Me-not, Paradise Teal, Vivid Chartreuse, and Majestic Violet to stamp my snowflakes in one corner(ish) of the card and added the sequins from the Juniper Berries sparkle blend.  I thought the colors matched quite nicely!  The sentiment is stamped in Forget-me-not and is from the Christmas Cheer stamp set.  I purchased the December Card Kit from SSS but unfortunately it is sold out.  You can still purchase the stamp set though!!!  Remember you can only find DPP Sparkle Blends exclusively at White Rose Crafts!!!

Seasons Greetings with Doodles Paper Playground!!!

Hello, today I have  a Holiday card to share with everyone using sequins and beads from the Crown Jewels Sparkle Blend!

The patterned paper I used is from the Authentique Solitude set.

I love the soft vintage feel of this paper collection! 

I've added tiny beads and gems from the sparkle blend collection all around the card to accent the berries and also to make the red stand out a bit more. 

Look at the height of some of those gems!!!  I love them and yes I picked through my whole stash to find them!!!

Here is the inside of my card.  I put the sentiment here because I didn't want to distract from the front of the card.  I used a die I have had for a while and another selection of the patterned paper.

Autumn Blessings

Hello Everyone!   Today I have a sweet card showcasing the Orange You Glad Sparkle Blend!  I recently received this die and immediately thought of this layout for a card!   I have featured at least one of every item that is in the Orange you Glad sparkle blend, and there are some stinking cute things in there!!!!  I especially love the little flowers and butterflies!

I've used some recollections card stock for matting and some Echo Park celebrate autumn patterned paper.  Tied some raffia around the bottom and added a couple of clear bubble stickers from the Echo Park collection.  

Here is the close up of all the items in the Orange you glad sparkle blend!  Aren't they yummy!!

Pastel Santa

Hello everyone.  Today I have for you a cute little clean and simple Santa card.  I've used my soft pastel holiday paper again today and also some wonderful Sparkle Blends from the October Release!


I've used Bells are Ringing and for a little added color Vixen! I just love how these two blends look when used together!

Doodles Paper Playground Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sparkle Blends October Release Blog Hop for Doodles Paper Playground! This month is full of Blends that are perfect for the upcoming holiday season and beyond! The Designing Divas will be sharing projects featuring these new Sparkle Blends on their blogs and you can check out a close-up look at each of the Blends on the Doodles Paper Playground Blog. We have custody of the married couple this year!  Lol. We alternate years with my Daughter Jewel’s (Mary) in-laws.  This year we have them thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and they have Christmas Day, next year it will reverse!  I look forward to the years we have them both holidays, although they do only live a couple of miles away from us and we have weekly family dinners, I am just selfish and want all my kiddos with me all the time!  Especially since they are all adults now!

Anyway, this year we have them for Thanksgiving Day and I’m not sure yet if anyone else is coming.  We are waiting to hear from my Mother-in-law will be able to come after therapy.  So there could be up to 8 more!!  I’ll make place cards as I need them, they are super fun and easy to make!

My background paper is made on a 4x6 index card using distress inks and stamped with archival ink. I am obsessed with this color combo as of late.  It is mustard seed, spiced marmalade, and aged mahogany.  I think they make a fabulous fall background! I cut the background paper into 2x4 strips and added them to a piece of card stock cut 2 1/4 x 8 1/2, and scored at 4 1/4.  I then took some letter stickers from the October kit from white rose crafts (who is also the exclusive retail shop for sparkle blends) to spell out our names and then added some word and circle stickers..  I then placed sequins from the Gingerbread man sparkle blend pack and here ya go!  Quick and easy place cards!!  I hope you are having fun on this hop and remember to leave everyone some love!!
