Purse Size Hand Cream Holder

Hey everyone, thanks for joining us during the month for the Stampendous 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop!  To start at the beginning of todays hop please head here!!

Today we are making a small hand cream holder.  I love Nivea hand cream and greatly appreciate my sister introducing it to me several years ago!  I thought it would be nice to make a few for some friends and family for the upcoming winter months !

Starting with a piece of card stock that is 7 1/8 x 3 7/8, score the 7 1/8" side at 2 5/8, 3 1/4, 5 7/8, and 6 1/2. Score the 3 7/8" side at 5/8 and 3 1/4.

Patterned paper pieces measure 2 1/2" square (1) and 1/2 x 2 1/2(4)

Head here to see the video I made showing how to trim and assemble this box.

Day 4...Halloween Trinket Box

Today I chose to make a trinket box for all the little goodies I want to keep for Halloween. I found these little boxes at Michael's a while ago when they were on clearence! This one was on clearence because one of the little screws on the clasp was missing so I scored with a 50 cent box!!!! I don't need no stinkin clasp! LOL For this one I painted it black and then used silver distressed crackle paint from Tim Holtz. I then stamped my images into clay, and after it baked and cooled I painted them. The witch on her broom I base coated in gray, then wiped off with a papertowel. Then brushed walnut ink stain over it and also wiped it off with a papertowel. Finally I brushed black paint on the high points. For the words, Witching you...a Haunting Halloween, I wanted to go darker with, so I used black and purple on them. So there it is my Halloween trinket box.

I hope you are enjoying this lovely tour of our 31 days of Halloween! Be sure to come back daily for more freakishly wicked Halloween projects, challenges, and fun! For more informationon how you can win the HUGE blog candy and to see pictures of it go here.
