Recap of past few months

Well the house is on the market and we have had lots and lots of looky loos but no offers yet, but I am not worried, it will sell when the time is right!!  Good news is, Hunter made it through school and I made it through the last 9 months without killing a teenage boy!!  Just sayin...  he's quite moody that one...   anyway, lets recap the last nine months of my life shall we...

Steven (that's the husband) left September of 2014 to start his new job in Idaho Falls... Hunter (that's the teenage boy who still lives) and I stayed in Virgina to get the house ready for the market and to finish the school year out.  Jewel (that's the daughter who is now married) decided that she wanted to get married to Bentrick ( that's the son-in-love).  Which meant I planned a wedding all by myself (well jewel helped with ideas but the actual pulling off of the ideas was mostly me) but it was fun and it kept my mind off of Steven being gone.  He got to come home for Christmas and the wedding which was awesome cause that was two weeks we had with him.  I purged the house of all the things we didn't need anymore, that was 15 kragen (which is what we call our Nissan murano) fulls of stuff off to goodwill and when I say full I mean I was the only one who could fit in the car in the drivers seat... all other seats were folded down and the kragen was full!!!  After all of that there was organizing the whole house to get it ready for showings.  Then the painting and staging and keeping it spotless and leaving for showings...  ummm selling a house is not the easiest of things to do... just sayin...

Then came the ending of the school year and the decision to move from Virginia to Idaho... which now means the house in Virginia is empty and still on the market and I have a rental house here but the company that Steven works for is helping with that so it's all good!! So that was moving companies and packers and driving across country which was good because we got to stop in Louisiana and celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary with them!!! and see family.  We got our household goods on Monday the 15th of June and now the hardest part of moving starts...unpacking.  It's time like these I wish I had a genie on hand or that I was Molly Weasley and could just wave my wand and everything would be where it needs to be and that would be it!!!  but alas I am a mere muggle and don't have that ability!!

Somewhere in Idaho

So now I am typing this and uploading pictures from the trip so that I can procrastinate and not unpack boxes but my procrastinating time is drawing to a close, I would like to finish the kitchen today so that we can have a lovely home cooked meal because I am tired of take out!!!

Oh yes there was arting time in there sometimes because I needed to keep up with my wonderful WWATC peoples but alas no blogging, because silly me thought that uploading them to our facebook group and the WWATC blog meant that I blogged about them on this blog... yeah told you I was silly, and I may have forgotten to mention that somewhere in that 9 months of everything that was going on in my life I may have lost my mind, not sure where yet, but I am pretty sure it is gone!!!

some of my Wicked Wednesday ATC (WWATC) projects!

a Little Art Journaling

and to top it all off I started participating with Listers Gotta List!

So now off to do more unpacking because the sooner I finish the kitchen and living room and office the sooner I can get into the art studio and get that set up so I can start arting again!!!

DREAMY

"Was it all a DREAM?"
Hey, everyone!  I'm here with The Greeting Farm today and I'm happy to report that no, it definitely was NOT a DREAM!
That's right!  Today is the super special mid-month RELEASE DAY for the brand new mixed-media DREAM kit... appropriately titled "DREAMY"!   This jumbo-sized, 8.5x11 FULL sheet of stamps is available starting NOW over in the TGF STORE, so be sure to grab yours before they sell out!
I honestly think there are so many things you can do with this Kit, not only mixed media but card making, ATC, you name it I think it can be done!!!  With that being said, I made an art journal page.  Now when I started art journaling I started doing it as a way to make uplifting/encouraging pages for my daughter who was going through a tough time in her life.  I would tell her all the time the things my first journal pages said but somehow I think putting them on pretty backgrounds and actually giving her a book that she can look at and carry with her wherever she goes was a major step in her being able to believe the things I had been telling her!  Once that first journal was finished and given to her I decided I would just continue them for her, not as my main focus but just something here and there I could give her when I felt that she needed to be uplifted… So this is what I have made for her in her journal with this wonderful set…
photo (1)
This set has some wonderful saying as well as images in it and I knew as soon as I got it that I was going to use this one in a journal for my daughter… I want her to know that it is ok to be different, it is ok not to follow the same path as everyone else, it is ok to stand out!!!
We have a super awesome lineup of Guest artists for you to visit today, so if you're just getting here, be sure to start on the TGF BLOG for all the details, or you can continue here and just make sure you've visited everyone because ONE LUCKY WINNER who completes our hop today will WIN the DREAMY kit!
Here's the order for today's special release hop:
Be sure to stop right back over on the TGF BLOG to let us know you've completed the hop and you're entering to WIN the "DREAMY" kit!   Winner will be announced first thing MONDAY morning on the blog so you have the weekend  (through Sunday, June 16th at 11:30pm CST)  to relax, hop, and DREAM of the possibilities of creating with this awesome new kit!
Thanks for joining us, everyone!

30 Days of lists day 5 through 17

Hello lovelies, I told you earlier that I was participating the 30 days of lists this month and wow I didn't realize how hard it was going to be... Ok making lists, that easy as pie really cause I make them all the time... I have books and books of lists and receipts full of lists and just lists everywhere... what I didn't realize is that it would be so hard for me to keep up on journaling them and I should have know because were moving this month and there is packing and purging and cleaning and , and, and, and you get the picture right...

Ok so to catch up on the lists I have done... Now the first 4 lists of the month were pretty and decorated and art journal worthy... there are a couple like that here as well then the proverbial shit hits the fan and I realized exactly how much time I didn't have to get the whole house purged, packed and cleaned so the rest are just lists written on their own page in the journal  I started for this project and hopefully they will get some watercolor on them after the move but I sure as hell can't promise anything...

Oh and note to self and you... do not take pictures with your phone at 7 am sunday morning after getting up at 5:30 am and having a pot and a half of coffee... so in advance sorry for the fuzzy pics on some of them I will try to get the camera out after I am able to get color on them hopefully...

Ok so now the pics and lists and it will have to hurry cause the dogs are getting up and will be ready to eat and potty in a few...

and the dogs are up and whining and i need to go so they don't wake up the whole house cause there is nothing worse than cranky people on a sunday morning.... You should be able to click on the pictures to make them larger so you can read the lists if you want to!!!

Later gators... gotz more packing and cleaning to do!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 3:  This _____ I am going to____:

I chose to work on the month so:
This month I am going to:

Now I have been putting my lists into a small journal I kept out while packing...  I filled up my rolling crop thing a ma jig that I have with some art supplies to keep out while we were packing and moving this month!  I have my BOD in there and some things to work on life book 2013 with.  Mostly it's just watercolor crayons and pencils, color pencils, and soft pastels.. also so me stencils.  So my pages aren't very elaborate but i am loving how they are looking!!!  I will be back sometime later this week or early next with the next few days!!!  I hope you are enjoying!!

Movie Magic Monthly

Hello Lovelies, It's here, the day I told you about the day we start our new Montly challenge on the new Movie Magic Montly challenge blog! We will be posting a new movie challenge on the 10th of every month!!!

This month we are featuring the movie Alice In Wonderland.

Now the cool thing about this new challenge blog is that you can make anything you want that represents the movie of the month!!!  Doesn't have to be a papercraft!  It can be any craft item, anything!!!  It does need to be new and made for the challenge!!! That is cool!!!

Here is what I made for this months movie...

It's a journal page I made using a Alice image I found for free on the web and mushrooms from Dilly Beans!  It's all about decisions!  How hard they are to make sometimes!!!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy and head on over to the new blog to see what everyone else has made and while your there check out our DT page on the top of the blog.
