Happy Birthday

Hello everyone, today I am featuring a birthday card using the new We're Turning One Sparkle Blends!!  This blend is awesome!!!  I love the bright colors of it!  I used my Scan and Cut 2 to cut out the balloons for my shaker window.  The balloon is in the patterns on the scan n cut2, I just used it 3 times and resized it!  The little boy and girl are part of a cut apart from the pattern paper line I used called Circus Party from Carta Bella.  I had this paper in my stash and do not know if it is still available or not but it's wicked cute!!!

I used distress inks in the colors, Antique linen, Brushed Corduroy, and scattered straw to distress around the balloons.  I also use Antique lined to distress the outline of the the image of the children.  The red on the bottom of the card is the reverse side of the balloon paper behind the shaker part.  You will be seeing a lot of Birthday cards from me in the near future as I am making them to donate!

Head on over to White Rose Crafts to find all the sparkle blends you could want and more!!

Unwrap a Special Day

Hey,  Today I am showing a card I made for Doodles Paper Playground and for my sister's birthday!  Her birthday is the first part of December, as is mine, and I always make it a non holiday inspired card!!!  I've used the Majestic Sparkle Blend today!  The soft colors are wonderful for this!!! Don't forget that you can only find the limited edition Sparkle Blends at White Rose Crafts LLC.

I've used a wood grain background on this card and the pink patterned paper is from the Echo Park Jack and Jill 6x6 paper pad.  The stamps and sentiments from a Darice stamp set! Y'all there are tiny unicorn sequins in this blend!  Look towards the top of the shaker and you will see one!!

I've stamped on the inside as well and colored everything with distress inks, in scattered straw, spun sugar, and picked raspberry!

Thanks for going me today!

Semi Explosion Box

Hey guys,

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Today I am sharing my last project for the Stampendous 31 Days of Halloween and I am super sad about that!  I have had so much fun and greatly appreciate Laura and all the Design Team for having me as a guest this month!

Isn't this 31 Days of Halloween Hop a blast!!!  I am loving it!!  To start at the beginning of today's hop please head here!  Also remember to add your Family Friendly Halloween project to the inlinkz below for your chance to win some prizes! There are also prizes for random comments on all the participating blogs throughout the whole month!! All the rules and regulations can be found here!

My last project is a Semi Explosion Box, no I am not blowing up a truck!  I have made an explosion box, but I didn't want it to just go every where so I made a semi booming one!!  LOL

This video shows how to assemble the inside piece for the lipgloss.

To make this project you need 4 pieces of card stock total, 3 for the box and one for the lid,  for the box you need a piece of cardstock that measures 9 3/4 square scored at 3 1/4 one each side, you need another piece of card stock that measures 8 1/4 square scored at 2 3/4 on each side, and on the last piece for the box you need 2 pieces, one that measures 6 3/4 square scored at 2 1/4 on each side, also from that piece you need a 3 inch square score at 1/4 and 1/2 on all sides doe the inside.

Once you have burnished all of the score lines, cut the 4 outer squares so that your cardstock looks like a plus sign!

For the lid you need a piece of cardstock that measures 4 1/4 square scored at 1/2 on each side using the tick mark on your score board... not butted up against the side but about a 1/16 of an inch away!!

Here is the video for this box.

I have used every stamp set that Laura sent me this month on this box, which is why I like it the most, not to mention the surprise inside this one!!!  It is so super cute and I show it in the video!!!

Score the 7 1/8 side @ 2 5/8, 3 1/4, 5 7/8, and 6 1/2
Score the 3 7/8 side @ 5/8 and 3 1/4

Patterned paper needed:

Starting with the EVPB and 4 pieces of patterned paper measuring 5x5 make your first punch and score @ 2 3/8 then follow the score lines around until you have punched and scored all 4 sides of each piece of paper.

For the inside of the wrap you need a piece of card stock measuring: 4" x 3".  Score the 4" side every 1/2 inch... so... 1/2, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, 3, and 3 1/2.

WOW!!!

Thank you everyone for joining me this past month and commenting on all my posts everyday!!!  You all are awesome!!  Now grab some apple cider or coffee or tea or whatever you want an get ready for some fall projects!!!

As most of you know, I have recently moved from the east coast to Idaho!  That in and of itself was quite daunting!  BUT,,,, somewhere along the way with the purging of the house to get it on the market and the moving, I lost some mojo and some decorations!!!  Somehow all my fall decorations disappeared!!  I don't know if they accidentally got added to one of the 10 goodwill trips, or what but they are gone.  So instead of going out and purchasing all new stuff I made a lot of things and am still making a lot of things!

Here is the first thing I made, when I saw this patterned paper I had to have it and then I had this ugly pumpkin I got from the dollar general store and I didn't want to put it out but what choice did I have?  Until I decided to put them together!!!  This is the cute result of that, along with some old book paper!

Day 5 of 12

Hello Lovelies, today I have for you another tag I made for another gift.  This one I used some of my Tim Holtz images I got on clearence last year.  This tag was cut from patterned paper, just a vintage with very tone on tone pattern, then I used tea dye distress ink to make it a little more and stamped my images with Fired Brick distress ink.  The little image charm came from the little envie of goodies I got last year in a swap!!!

A Very Merry Steampunk Holiday

Hello Lovelies,  today is super special for me... My friend and fellow APDT member Leslie Rahye has decided to have a Holiday Blog hop... What's special about this one, well it's steampunk of course.  We could do anything we liked with a steampunk theme so I decided to do a Snowman/Top Hat!!  Now my vision for this is to make a paper mache snowman to wear this hat!  No it's not done yet because I just thought of it so it's still a work in progress(the snowman) but the Hat is done.  I found these paper mache top hats at Michaels in October and snatched up a couple before they were gone.  Not really having any clue as to what I wanted to do with them then I heard about this blog hop and knew what one was going to be!!! I hope to be done with my snowman before christmas but if you have ever made your own paper mache items(big ones at that) then you know it takes a while to get them done.

That key paper is tissue paper I got from Michael's it comes in a 5 pack... it's by recollections.  The band is some printed canvas also by recollections from Michales.

The tiny gears are from Tim Holtz. The clear beads are dew drops.  They circle the band.

There is a double layers poinsetta with some greenery from the craft store as well.

Be sure to visit everyone and leave some love!!!  Cause everyone needs some love!!!

12 Days Day 3

Hello Lovelies, today I have for you a card I made using a cute little image from of course Dilly Beans... I have no idea why I like these images so much right now but I do!!! Anyway I thought I would take this image and turn her into a cute little christmas card!

I colored her with my prismacolor pencils and highlighted some spots with the sakura glaze pens.  Mounted her on turquoise card stock and used my sakura glaze pen to do the little edging on that and the card.  The patterned paper came from AC Moore last year and I can't remember the company...sorry... the words were printed from my computer and mounted onto turquoise card stock as well...

Remember to leave me some love and to visit all the other bloggers for 12 days for your chance to win that $100 shopping spree!!!

Day 25 of 31 and Bombshell Release

Hello Lovelies, today I have for you a witches hat I decorated with patterned paper, black roses, and a paper rosette with a moon and stars stamp on it.   Right now it's just part of a centerpiece but I have been thinking of doing something else with it....My question for you is how would it look if I snipped off some of the top so that I could add flowers coming out of it....real flowers as there would be a small vase under it, all you would see would be the flowers..... Let me know what you think about that....

Bombshell Stamps has two new sets to share with you!!!  They are called Indian Princess and Indian Warrior!  Here is a little ATC with an image from Indian Warrior.  There are so many more projects made with both new sets on the Bombshell Blog that you HAVE to go and see them!!!  There will also be a new release blog hop on the 28th of this month so that we can showcase more images from the two new sets!!!  So head on over to the Bombshell blog to see what the other Bombshell's have made for you and to see these two new wonderful sets!!!!!

Day 24 of 31

Hello lovelies, today I have for you this little "plaque" I made using images from moonlight journey and letters from inkadinkado!  Ok, it's really 3x3 canvases covered with patterned paper images and letters, then hot glued together.  I added some of that witch ribbon to the top and some black ribbon to the sides!  So I use the term "plaque" loosely but it works!!!!

Day 22 of 31

Hello Lovelies, today I have a very quick, very easy little project to show you.  I made these little candy holders for the kids friends so needed something that would go quickly....

A stamp, some of last years Tim Holtz kraft halloween paper and a paper mache tombstone...there you have it...a quick little treat holder.  These tombstones came in packs of 4 at michaels so I just grabbed a whole lot of them and we went to town....

Just a quick simple little gift and we all had fun making them!!!

blog roll on the sidebar as always!!!!
