You Make me SCREAM!!!!!

I know, I can't believe it either, I am updating regulary again!!! LOL

No seriously, I have made myself a schedule and I am sticking to it!!! I take the hubby to the ship on Monday night, they pull out on Tuesday, and he will be gone for the better part of the year! I know sad, but that just means the end is near for us! He is either going to retire and we will be done with the Navy, or he will transfer and we will be done with this state! Either way, we are done with this state! So now that I am not running around going crazy trying to get things done for him and get the kids, mostly my son, mentally ready for him to be gone, I can concentrate on me a little everyday and get some things done that I have been putting off!!!

Today, I have another project for Smeared and Smudged! This project went into the Perfect Pinups Group over there! If you are into, Vintage, Gothic, Alternative, and just all around different then the Smeared and Smudged Ning group is the place for you! I would love to see you all come over and join! Ok on with my card for the Perfect pinups group. I used some digi stamps from Victoria Case. The card stock is from SU and so is the decorative paper. I used my copic markers to color them! I am so loving those markers, I got some for christmas!

Wickedly "Bliss"ful

Since today is Thursday, Terra and I have decided to coordinate our projects to offer you a challenge. Today's challenge is GLITTER! You can make anything you want as long as you use glitter on your project somewhere!!! Remember when you participate in our challenges on Monday's and Thursday's, you get more entires into the drawing for the blog candy!

The card I made today has a little twist on this beautiful pin-up called Bliss from Victoria Case and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. I thought why not make her a little wicked...so I did. I used the spooky skyline wheel from SU in the background. Also I wanted her to be completly different so I used red and black instead of the more traditional Halloween colors. The skyline was stamped with SU craft ink, black, and then while still wet I put ultra fine glitter from Michaels over it. The moon was punched out on white cardstock, lightly colored with gray, then Diamond and Black Stickles were added. Black stickles was also used on the skyline in a few places and also in her hair.

While I was coloring her I kept thinking of different ways to do the background of the card and then thought why not make it look like she was just sitting on the ground after having a little snack with the spooky skyline behind her with a big full moon, and ummmmm OOOPPPPSSSS is that a little trickle of blood remaining from her snack...oh well it's a good thing she is wearing "blood" red anyway!!!

Somewhere along the way while making Halloween projects I decided that I wanted to make a journal of sorts, and what better way to do that than to make my art the journal. So that is what I am going to do. I took the opportunity to use this challenge as my first page. I am using a chipboard book that I got from Michael's. This little witch is from Victoria Case, isn't she awesome. I painted the page with blacks, purples, and grays to give it that night time backgroud. Then I used sanded grout again to make the puffy clouds, and dry brushed different shades of gray over them to give them some depth. I'm loving that grout... and have started raiding the garage to see what else I can find to work with. I have found a few things that I want to try, now I just have to talk to hubby into letting me have them. LOL

New Pin Up Digi Stamp

I got this Pin-up from Victoria Case when I got the other one. I decided to make a card with her. Although I am sure this is not the only time I will use her. LOL. My daughter says she wishes her butt would look like this Pin-ups but I told her, in the real world nobodies butt looks like that!!! That's why I added the wish charm!!!

Remember to join me starting October 1st for a month long Halloween showcase. See sidebar for more information!

Happy Creating!!!

For the inner Pin-up girl in all of us!

I fell in love with this Pin-up girl(she is a digi stamp) I found over on Victoria Case!!! Oh my goodness, she is not the everyday Pin-up that you would normally think of but she is perfect for the more curvy women of the world. I know everyone, no matter what body type you have, has an inner Pin-up and low and behold I have found mine. Love her!!!!! I got her with one thought in mind...using her on cards for my Hubby when he is gone on deployment next year. LOL
