Bombshell Confessions!!!

Hello Lovelies, today I have for you my card I made for this month's Pin Up challenge.

TRUE Confessions!  That's what our challenge is!  It could be anything, serious, funny, whatever we wanted it to be.  I actually confessed to 4 things on my card....

Ok first things first.. I am addicted to coffee.. by addicted I mean I drink it all day I  prefer it to any other drink. When we lived in the city I spent $75 a week on coffee at starbucks, addicted. My order at starbucks is a Quad Venti 2 pump white chocolate mocha nonfat no whip 170*  I like it strong and hot!!! And not very sweet!  I know my bank account and my husband are very happy that we moved to the mountains and the closest starbucks is a 20 min drive away!!!! I have 3 coffee pots addicted... a regular pot, and 2 keurigs!!  One upstairs and one in the crafting dungeon....That is addicted.

My second confession is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE coffee cups... the more unique the better.... I have more coffee cups than any other dish in the house!!!  That might stem from my mommy who collected coffee cups as well!!!  Any coffee cup any size!!!  I love them!

My third confession is that I love Christmas... I am not really sure why maybe because I love the cold, I prefer cold over hot weather any time, maybe because I love the twinkling lights, yes I have lots of lights at my house... I don't really know why I love christmas because I can tell you that I HATE, with a passion unknown to regular folks, HATE shopping!!!

Lastly I love to dye my hair!  LOVE IT!  Honestly I never dyed my hair until my first child was born but once I started I couldn't stop!!!  Right now my hair is red on the top and black on the bottom.... it's been all black, purple, blond, lots and lots and lots of colors!!!!

So there are my confessions!  I hope that you head over to the Bombshell Blog to see what all the other DT members have confessed to!!!

May Pin Up challenge: Tic TacToe

Hello Lovelies it’s time for the May Pin Up challenge over at Bombshell Stamps!  Here is what our Pin Up had to say:
ROLL UP, ROLL UP
IT'S TIME FOR TIC TAC TOE: Pick any three in a row
Your challenge for the merry month of May is to create a project that contains
three items from my Tic Tac Toe selection.Just draw an imaginary line through three boxes. Horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.....no cheating  .

"Something new" is kind of a wild card. Interpret it how you wish but try something you've never done before. You may well discover a new favorite technique. You won't know until you try ;)

Now go forth Bombshells and create your projects. Do please come back and share your work with all your fellow Bombshell lovers.Tell your friends and fellow crafters too. Lend a stamp and let a friend enter. If they win, maybe they will share the Booty!!!Looking forward to seeing all your amazing entries.
Jennie xxx

Now really all you have to do is pick 3 in a Row and go for it!!!  I chose to go straight down the middle.

010

Now the Purple is obviously the letters, the paper piecing is the skulls which were stamped on patterned paper then cut out to make my flowers, and the something new is the whole thing, the journal, the concept of the journal, and the paper the skulls were stamped on!!!  So head over to the Bombshell Blog to see what the other DT have made for you and don’t forget to enter in our monthly challenge!!!

Day 19 of 31

Hello Lovelies,   I have for you today a card I made for Day of the Dead and also for the Bombshell Pin Up challenge.  This month our Pin Up challenged us to use pink in our cards in honor of  Breast Cancer Awareness month!  Now using pink is no problem for me anymore, I used to have a hard time using it but not anymore.  BUT using pink in 31 days!!!  That made me stop in my tracks for a minute!  Then I thought I’ll use the Alter Skulls set from Bombshell stamps!  So that’s what I did… Now the layout of this card is a little different for me and I’ll be honest with you, I started this off with making an ATC in mind.  Paying no attention to details in the beginning I neglected to realize that the Alter skull was bigger than an ATC!!! So card it is!!!  I used vanilla cardstock and craft cardstock that was smeared and smudged(LOL) with distress inks!   Gathered twigs, tattered rose, and seedless preserves. I wrinkled the original ATC size piece and then mounted it on other cardstock!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!  Please head on over to the Bombshell blog  to see what everyone else has made for you today!!!

Wickedly "Bliss"ful

Since today is Thursday, Terra and I have decided to coordinate our projects to offer you a challenge. Today's challenge is GLITTER! You can make anything you want as long as you use glitter on your project somewhere!!! Remember when you participate in our challenges on Monday's and Thursday's, you get more entires into the drawing for the blog candy!

The card I made today has a little twist on this beautiful pin-up called Bliss from Victoria Case and colored her with Prismacolor pencils. I thought why not make her a little wicked...so I did. I used the spooky skyline wheel from SU in the background. Also I wanted her to be completly different so I used red and black instead of the more traditional Halloween colors. The skyline was stamped with SU craft ink, black, and then while still wet I put ultra fine glitter from Michaels over it. The moon was punched out on white cardstock, lightly colored with gray, then Diamond and Black Stickles were added. Black stickles was also used on the skyline in a few places and also in her hair.

While I was coloring her I kept thinking of different ways to do the background of the card and then thought why not make it look like she was just sitting on the ground after having a little snack with the spooky skyline behind her with a big full moon, and ummmmm OOOPPPPSSSS is that a little trickle of blood remaining from her snack...oh well it's a good thing she is wearing "blood" red anyway!!!

Now that you have seen my project go on over and check out Terra's!

If you'd like to participate in the challenge, link to your finished glittered project in a comment below this post. And don't forget, any comment will get you Blog Candy points! See you tomorrow!

For the inner Pin-up girl in all of us!

I fell in love with this Pin-up girl(she is a digi stamp) I found over on Victoria Case!!! Oh my goodness, she is not the everyday Pin-up that you would normally think of but she is perfect for the more curvy women of the world. I know everyone, no matter what body type you have, has an inner Pin-up and low and behold I have found mine. Love her!!!!! I got her with one thought in mind...using her on cards for my Hubby when he is gone on deployment next year. LOL

Retro Cowgirl Goodie Package

As I was sitting in my craft room the other day wondering what I wanted to work on, my son mentioned cowboy cookies. YUMMY. Anyway after we made some I though wouldn't it be cute to make a little goodie package to be able to send them to friends and family or give away to neighbors. So that got me thinking... they are cowboy cookies but we all know its the cowgirls that rockso what better way to show that than to use the Retro Cowgirl stamp set from Bombshell Stamps!!! LOVE IT. This is what I came up with.

Playing Dress up with Bombshells

I have recently started designing clothes for my Bombshell Girls. I thought it was a great way to play with my "dolls" again. I will eventually make magnets out of them so that I can use them in other ways. I stamped out the Bombshell from the Bombshell angel set and then laid vellum on top of her and drew out her clothes. I used inks, sharpies, perfect pearls and stickles to color her clothing. Right now I only have 3 created but have several more in the works. I hope you enjoy and find the time to play with your "dolls" a little more!!!
