It’s here it’s here!!! Can you believe it! Today is the day for the Toxic Teen release on SBS! First though we have the last four images for preview today!!!

First up we have Mac:

sorry about the blurry pic. I ran out of time to retake it!

Now we have Tommy:

Now here is the thing about Tommy, I let the teens pick out his colors and papers because they just happened to come into the creative dungeon while I was coloring this set up and said some things like teens do, joking of course, and I popped off and said I can make any colors work together!!!! Well they tested me with this one but I think I pulled it off!!! Maybe that’s just me though!

Now Ms. Betty added some very special characters to this set by honoring Ms. Alison’s kidlings Nix and Rhi! Isn’t that cool!

Here is Nix:

Here is Rhi:

Now head on over and see what the other dolls have made for you and remember to head on over and snatch up this awesome new set!!!

Bombshell Hump Day Hop!!!

Hello Lovelies, it is time for the Bombshell Hump Day hop and this month our Hump Day Hottie Alison has decreed that we pay homage to Bettie Page!  The ultimate Bombshell!  Here is what Ms. Alison had to say about the hop this month!

Greetings Bombshell Fans! I am so excited about April's blog hop. I know, I know...I say that for all of the hops...but this month, I think it's going to really be a killer hop!
On April 22, 1923, a star was born. A star that we all know. A star that, without her, Bombshell Stamps may not even exist (if I may be so presumptuous). Who is it? None other than Bettie Page. What better month to pay homage to the Pin-Up Queen herself than the month of her birth? So for this hop, I want you to give Ms. Page some love. Make a project, any type of project, using her as inspiration. There are thousands of images to view, lots of quotes she has said, and others have said about her. Want some inspiration right now?

This is Bettie Page's official site: http://www.bettiepage.com/index.html

I would have loved to have been able to photograph her!
Anyway here is my card that I made inspired by the top photo.

I love the Cherry Bomb set from Bombshell there is just something about the way she is sitting that I love!  I used the Smeared and Smudged card sketch for this month as my layout for this card.  I hope you enjoy and remember to hop and see what everyone else has made and leave everyone some love for your chance at some awesome prizes this month!

“Metal” Image Transfer

Hello Lovelies.  Today I have for you a small tutorial on a new to me image transfer.  Transferring images is not new to any of us I am sure but transferring images onto metal is new to me!!!  I used Collage Sheet 1056D Winged Women and Metal Sheets found here, a little fluid matte medium, some water, and finger power and you have a cool image transfer that can be used on anything!!! You can find more great project ideas on Altered Pages Blog!
IMG_1986
Now pick out your image(s) you want to transfer.  I chose the two winged women in the top right corner for mine.
IMG_1987
cover your image in your fluid matte medium.  A good coverage as you can see here.  When you spread it around on the foil it will seep out and that is ok!  Turn your image onto your foil and smooth it out!  Use whatever tool you want to but make sure it is completely smoothed out on the foil.
IMG_1994 - CopyHere’s the kicker… it has to dry and you have to be patient with it.  No heat guns here….sorry guys, I know I love my heat gun too but this one has to be sat aside until it is completely dry all by itself!!  I had to wait overnight!!!!
Once it’s dry spray it with water and begin to gently rub the backing off with your finger!  VERY GENTLY!
IMG_1994IMG_1995
Keep doing this until you have the image the way you want it!  I personally went a little to far but that is ok as it will work with the shabbiness of the project it is for so I am happy with it!
IMG_1996IMG_1997IMG_1998
There you have it!  An image transferred onto metal!!!

I have not completed project for you today as this transfer is in a long line up for a major project I am working on in my spare time!

BTBD PANDORA’S BOX

Greetings! It's time for a new challenge with the Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls! Since it is the 3rd Thursday of the month, this is our altered challenge. So what do you have to do this time around? Well, our challenge is Pandora's Box. So please make a project with a box. You can make the box yourself, or use a store bought one that you can alter. But be sure to keep it creepy!
Here is some background information on Pandora and this special box...
Pandora was the first woman created. The Gods and Goddesses, honored her, by bestowing various gifts upon her. For example, Zeus gave her the gift of curiosity. Because of said curiosity, when she was given a box (or jar), although she was told not to open it, she did. And out of it escaped the evils of the world. She quickly closed the box, but it was too late. All had escaped except for one thing. Hope.
You do not have to base your project on the above story. But you can if you'd like!
I took a box I got from a dollar spot somewhere some Itkupilli images a little crafters spackle some paint and mod podge and you have a decorated box!!!  I was making it for my daughter for her birthday and it was going to hold a key chain that I was going to have my friend Alison make for her, but alas we haven’t sold the house yet so no car yet.  She’s ok with that for now!!! LOL
Anyway here are some pictures of it!
IMG_1978IMG_1972IMG_1973
IMG_1974IMG_1975IMG_1976IMG_1971This is the artist spackle I added to the edges with my fingers and then painted with black, then periwinkle paint then dry brushed with black again!!!  There you have it!!!

You will have 2 weeks to complete this challenge. A winner will be chosen and will receive the fang-tatsic badge in our sidebar. If you need more inspiration please head over to the BTBD blog to see what everyone else has made and to play along!!!

I am entering this into the Smudgy Antics BINGO Challenge using skull, black and distressed....

Early Easter greetings! The Dolls  have a fun challenge for you today, that goes right along with this holiday. "Rotten Eggs for a Wicked Easter." We want you to create a dark Easter project. Fun right? And since this is the 1st Tuesday of the month, you can make anything. It does not have to be an altered item.
But before I  show you my example, I need to tell you who the winner is from our last challenge! Alison got the winner from Random.org. Our winner is....#3....Susan S.!!! Congratulations!

IMG_1892
Guess what!!  Those images are colored with my colored pencils!  Most of my projects for this week were.  I didn’t even use blending solution I just colored!!!  I didn’t realize how much I missed my colored pencils!  Does this mean I am giving up copics….ummmm….HELL NO!!!  BUT I will be using my pencils more often!!!
I used Sweet Gothic Kids Easter images. Normally, these images are not available in digi form. But they are this week! So hurry on over to the SBS Shop to snag these cuties! After this week, they will no longer be available in digi form, only in rubber.
You will have 2 weeks for this challenge please make sure to use a direct link to your project not just to your blog. To link up please go to the BTBD blog!  We can't wait to see what you've made! We will be back with our next altered challenge on the 17th. Have a creep-tastic day!
