Today I made for you a Tag using Bombshell Stamps Butterfly Queen and Altered Pages Victorian Butterflies!  I really had fun making this tag, the butterflies on the Altered Pages collage sheet are wonderful, and you all know I LOVE my Bombshells!!!

The tag is colored with color wash ink sprays in stream and denim, Dylusions in Turquoise, and Pearl Glimmer Mist.  I then fussy cut the butterflies off of the AP Collage sheet and glued them down with matte medium, then while the medium was still wet I sprayed again with the Pearl Glimmer Mist.  I popped the Bombshell off the page with pop dots then went around each butterfly with my white pen with a straight line outline and a dotted outline. I sprayed the ribbon with the stream color wash and attached it to the tag! I hope you enjoy!

Your next stop on the hop is Leslie Rahye.

Here's the blog hop order in case you get lost or feel like hopping around randomly!

Ink Stains Altered Altoid Tin Blog Hop/Art Festival

Hello Lovelies, today I am super excited to show you this Altered Altoid Tin I have been working on for a while.  A few months ago my friend Roni Johnson sent out an email asking for people who would like to participate in her Blog-a-versary/Birthday!  She love to alter things so she asked that we alter an Altoid tin and link it up to her blog for this Wonderful 5 year celebration she has going on!!!  So I love to alter things as well and of course I wanted to participate as I think Roni is a wonderful artist!

Now I do know that Roni is going to have a little something to give away and although I don't know exactly what it is I know that it is going to be wonderful!!!!  This hop is going to be amazing just to see the diversity in the things people can do with Altoid tins!!

Now you all know me and my love for Halloween but coming in a very close almost tied 2nd is Christmas and on top of that is SNOWMEN!!!!  I love me some cute little snowmen!!!  So I wanted to make a winter scene with my altoid tin not to mention I received this wonderful little picket fence from AlteredPages.com that I had to use!!!!  So quite honestly this whole little altered tin came about because of a blog birthday and some tiny littly picket fence emphemera!!!  Who knew!  I hope you enjoy my little tin and leave me some love because you never know where the winner will come from and head over to InkStainswithRoni to see the rest and see what awesome prizes are available!!!

New Challenge at Altered Pages

Hello Lovelies, today I have for you my DT project for the new AlteredPages.com November challenge!!!!   This months challenge is Rusted Colors!!  I know you can pull those off!!!  Be shre to head over to the challenge blog for the complete rules and to see what all the other DT members have made!!!

I have made some table decorations for my project!  Remember you can also vote on which DT members project you like the most so that that DT member can win a prize as well!!!

I made a paper rosette out of rust colored cardstock and used an image from the Happy Thanksgiving Collage sheet AP-335.  I tied the rosette on with hemp twine.  The ring is an assortment of beads attached with wire.

I took the large one out of it's ring to photograph them together because they are not going to be together on the table so the small one doesn't have a ring....

This little guy has a strip of foil embossed with my Tim Holtz embossing folder and then colored with alcohol inks.  It is attached with brads.

The rosette has gold metallic paint rubbed on with my finger to give it a gilded(kinda) look!

Day 5 of 31 and Altered Pages Blog Hop

Hello Lovelies, today is a wonderfully spectacular day!!!  Are you enjoying 31 Days so far?  Aren't all the projects wonderful!!!  There are some wickedly talented peeps this year!!!

Today is a little different here on my blog.  One of my design teams is having it's own little halloween blog hop so as always the 31 days list is on the sidebar and the rules for that are posted with day 1 and you can find them at Terra's blog as well.

To qualify for the prizes from the AlteredPages blog hop, which is totally separate from the 31 days blog hop although I am using the same project for both.  Here are the rules for winning the AlteredPages hop prizes!:

There will be One grand prize winner will receive a scissor mouse from AP. There will be two winners from each blog that will receive a free digital collage sheet. To be eligible for that the hoppers must leave a comment on each blog & become a follower of each blog. To be a winner they must finish the hop and go back to AP's blog and let us know they did. They must, also, leave a comment and follow every blog.
This is a huge bottle cap that my wonderful friend Alison sent me a long time ago.  The image is from AlteredPages.com the Altered halloween collage sheet. The chain is from a key ring thingy and the small gears are some that I had sitting around from taking apart old clocks and watches!

Everything is covered with Glossy accents. The glitter in the background was a oops... It was supposed to be off white embossing powder but I grabbed the glittery one instead....

This is the background stamp I used with the glitter above...wouldn't that have been wonderful in off white on the background????  Why didn't I redo it you say...well simple, I had no more ink in either printer!  :((
Remember to leave some love no matter which hop you are from and  I would greatly appreciate it if when leaving a comment you let me know if you are here for S&S or AP!    There are some awesome prizes to be won from either hop!!!Thank you so very much!!!

We are all a Little Mad here!!!!

Hello Lovelies, today I have to share with you a tag I made using an image from AlteredPages.com.  I love their collage sheets so many to choose from!  Today I took one image from the Black and Sepia collage sheet AP-2023 if your searching for it!  I made the image into 4 sizes just by resizing it.  If I would have thought about it I would have written down the sizes I used but I didn't!  sorry.  Anyway I took a tag and colored the background with Dylusions Ink Sprays: Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine, Melted Chocolate, and Black Marble.  I love my sprays!!!!  I then ran the tag through my big shot using a Halloween embossing folder my Tim Holtz.  I fussy cut the skeleton images that I resized and layerd them like a totem and adhered them to my tag then added words from a dilly beans set called Cute and Dark sayings, added some black ribbon and a little walnut ink and there you have it!  A cute little Halloweed tag!  Hope you enjoy!

“Metal” Image Transfer

Hello Lovelies.  Today I have for you a small tutorial on a new to me image transfer.  Transferring images is not new to any of us I am sure but transferring images onto metal is new to me!!!  I used Collage Sheet 1056D Winged Women and Metal Sheets found here, a little fluid matte medium, some water, and finger power and you have a cool image transfer that can be used on anything!!! You can find more great project ideas on Altered Pages Blog!
IMG_1986
Now pick out your image(s) you want to transfer.  I chose the two winged women in the top right corner for mine.
IMG_1987
cover your image in your fluid matte medium.  A good coverage as you can see here.  When you spread it around on the foil it will seep out and that is ok!  Turn your image onto your foil and smooth it out!  Use whatever tool you want to but make sure it is completely smoothed out on the foil.
IMG_1994 - CopyHere’s the kicker… it has to dry and you have to be patient with it.  No heat guns here….sorry guys, I know I love my heat gun too but this one has to be sat aside until it is completely dry all by itself!!  I had to wait overnight!!!!
Once it’s dry spray it with water and begin to gently rub the backing off with your finger!  VERY GENTLY!
IMG_1994IMG_1995
Keep doing this until you have the image the way you want it!  I personally went a little to far but that is ok as it will work with the shabbiness of the project it is for so I am happy with it!
IMG_1996IMG_1997IMG_1998
There you have it!  An image transferred onto metal!!!

I have not completed project for you today as this transfer is in a long line up for a major project I am working on in my spare time!
