Twilight: Breaking Dawn Blog Hop

Greetings fellow Twi-hards! Tonight is the night! It is the release for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2! I cannot believe that the last movie is finally being released. Will you be at a premiere? I unfortunately will not be able to make the first showing but will be going first thing friday morning!!!
My friend and fellow Twi-Hard Alison decided that since this was the last movie, we needed to do one last Twilight hop. One more hurrah before it was all over. So, she asked some of her fellow Twi-friends to hop along with her. Happily, there were 6 gals that wanted to joined. So there are 7 awesome stops in this Blog Hop. And we all made some fabulous, Twilight inspired projects! Here's what I came up with.
This is the front of my tag.  I used some digi papers from a Twilight themed digi set.  I am sorry I can't remember where it came from it was a freebie I got a long long long time ago when on a DT. The words were printed off of my computer as well as the images I found for free online.  The chess piece is popped up in a double layer.  I sprayed it with some red and black dylusions and then once everything was said and done, I thought, SPARKLE so there is some pearl glimmer mists over everything!!! Of course I had to give all the books their spotlight on this tag as it is the books that I am in love with... Ok honestly I never read one single book until I saw the first movie with my daughter... once she explained to me that the book had so much more info in it I read them... all four in one weekend... Thanksgiving weekend when Twilight first came out!  I was hooked... I can't tell you how many times I have read them.  My son will see me reading and say AGAIN mom!!!  And I just look up and say yep and keep reading!!! LOL

Close up of the top of the front.  See some of the shimmer...

Bottom close up!  more glimmer and "blood"!

The back is covered with a scanned in book page.  It's the last page of breaking dawn and I thought it fitting that I use the last page of the last book for the last movie!!!  The images are some printed off the computer then I used Tim Holtz Fragments on them and adhered them to the tag after tying them with some embroidery thread.  The tag ready Yes! I am one of those TWILIGHT  people.  The book page is also sprayed with black and red dylusions and pearl glimmer mist.

Now as I said there are 7 stops on this hop and if you are starting here I would greatly appreciate it if you would head over to the beginning and leave all the blogger some much deserved love about their projects!!!

Here is the Hop List:

Bombshell Blog Hop

Hello Lovelies, welcome to this months version of the Bombshell Blog hop!!!  This month Ms. Alison has set our theme to be all about the boys!!!  “Let’s hear it for the boys” to be exact!  Now you can interpret this as you wish, I wanted to take this opportunity to make it all be about my son as I am frequently posting about my daughter!!!

So also to go along with the August Pin-Up theme of scrapbooking I decided to make a page about my baby boy since I made one for my baby girl a couple of weeks ago.  Now most of you know that I do not scrapbook and when I do it is mostly digital so of course that is what this is!  I used the Bombshell digital stamp sets, Western 1 and Western 2 for this page.  It is a quite simple page but I tend to like those better for some reason!!!  Anyway this is a huge hop and I don’t want to keep you to long as we have some wonderful bloggers this month!!!  It was wonderful to see so many former DT members hopping with us this month, I hope they continue!!!

Here is my project all about my boy Hunter….Keep in mind my “baby” is 13 almost 14!!!

Now head on over to see what everyone else has made and if you didn’t start at the bombshell blog then please go there and start this wonderful journey!!!

12 Days of Christmas day 5 and Forever Night Challenge #20

Hello Lovelies, I hope you are enjoying this hop!  I am!  Today I have for you a card I made using an image from Simply Betty Stamps!  You know I love me some Betty stamps!!!  This card is called a double z fold card and you can find a tutorial for it on splitcoaststampers
IMG_1286
isn’t he cute!  I know it’s not the best picture but it will have to work as I took a fall in the craft room and damaged the camera!  Thankfully I had pictures of all my 12 days projects before that happened!
Here is the card opened:

Remember to head off and see what everyone else has made for you today!

Forever Night Challenge Blog is back with another freaky friday challenge for you!!!  Today we are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps and I love these little skelly people!  They are cute in a creepy sort of way!   Today I made for you a scrapbook page.  I know I know, pick your jaw up off the ground!!!  Honestly people things can change!!!  I think!  LOL  Anyway, this little cutie made me think of my kids when they were younger always trying to carry things that were to big for them, and some cute digi papers I recently got, so I thought, why not combine the two!  I know she's carrying a present and that really has nothing to do with snow, except if your my kids, even now as teens, getting snow is like a gift so it worked.  At least in my mind.  Anyway there are no pictures added yet as we haven't had our first snow day this year :(  but as soon as we do I am totally taking pictures, as always, and they will be added!!!  So it's nice to know I have a layout already waiting on pictures instead of the millions of pictures waiting on layouts!!!
Let me know what you think then head on over to the forever night challenge blog and play with us!!!!  You know you want to !!!

Freaky Friday Challenge #19

Hello Lovelies!  Nope it’s not a 12 days post it is Freaky Friday on Forever night!!!!  I know I haven’t posted the last couple of Fridays and I am totally sorry about that!  It’s been stoopid buzy!!!  Anyway this weeks challenge is Nightmare Before Christmas!

So I have these images from Simply Betty that are wicked sweet!  So I had to use them, then I thought, well what am I going to do with them!   So I started googling(is that a word, it is now!), and boy the inspiration you find in images!  So I am going to show you my inspiration photos first and then my project.

images
I love that in this picture Sally is the only color in the whole thing!  So that was my first idea!  Then I thought well I need to find a cool looking moon to go in the background so this is what I found.
blue_moon

And this is what I came up with!  I used this blue moon as my color spot and it was the only color in my project!

I hope you enjoy and remember to head on over to the Forever Night Challenge Blog to see what everyone else has made and we would love for you to participate with us this week!

Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge!

Hello Lovelies,   Today I have for you a creation I made for the Beyond the Burtonesque Challenge Blog!  Our challenge this week is Scary Kids.  Yep that’s right, kids can be scary and we want to see your scary kids!!!  I have this image and I can’t remember where it came from or when I got it!  I am sorry to whom ever created her cause she is great and I wish I could give you credit for her!  If anyone knows please let me know so I can credit the artist!  Anyway she is just wicked sweet and the image itself is scary in a doll head cut off kinda way, but when you use two of her that’s just down right wrong, in a wicked sweet kinda way!!!
I used the movie, The Shining, for my inspiration for this project.  Here is my inspiration photo…
imagesCAHUA019
They look like innocent little girls in this picture, but if you have ever seen the movie, you know they are anything but innocent!!!  If you haven’t seen the movie please do!  If you like scary movies and or Steven King you will love this movie!
Here is my project….
nbk-gts-p-14

Day 18 of 31

Hello lovelies, today I have for you a creation I made using a Delicious Doodles image.  It is also challenge 3 for Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls.  Today’s challenge is awesome, although I have to admit it threw me for a loop when I first saw it because although I have enjoyed several pieces of his work I had no idea who was behind such wonder movies!
It's time for Challenge #3 and this week, we are looking at the work of another awesome Director and Producer;
Guillermo del Toro has a habit of creating wonderfully dark films, which contain great storylines, and wonderful imagery. Most famous for Pan's Labyrinth, he has Directed and Produced films as diverse as Hellboy, Blade II, and Kung Fu Panda 2.
Your challenge is to create a project inspired by any of Guillermo's work, it can take the form of a card, layout, digital picture, whatever takes your fancy.
I took inspiration from Hellboy.  I love those movies.  Now as I said before I used a delicious doodles image he is Devil May care.  Here is my take on the challenge…I colored him with my prisma color pencils and the background is from a digi kit I got years ago and can’t remember who its from…sorry!

Now head on over to the Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls challenge blog to see what all the other dolls have made and don’t forget to finish the 31 days hop today!  The blog roll is over there -------->

Day 6 of 31

Hello Lovelies, and welcome to another day of 31 days!!!  It is also a Stamp Insanity challenge day!  Today we have challenged you to make anything but a card!  I found these cute little paint cans at AC Moore and I couldn’t pass them up!  I covered it with some Apothecary Emporium Collection from Echo Park and one of their stickers on one side.  Then I used the Hat from Cassandra a SIS image and one of the sentiments from Morgan’s spell set!

I think this would make cute candy holders!
So head on over and see what everyone else has made for you today!

Day 1 of 31

Hello Lovelies, Welcome to another year of 31 days of Halloween!!!  There are so many more participants this year than there were last year, almost double!!!  Today I have to share with you 3 projects I have made. One for world card making day which some members of  the Bombshell DT have decided to participate in (this same card is a Sneak Peek at what we will be doing on the Beyond the Burtonesque Blog when it goes live on October 4th!!!)..The 2nd and 3rd projects are recipe cards the Bombshell Dt have made.  We were issued a DT only challenge and that was to make 8x8 recipe cards using our Bombshells!

The theme our bombshells decided to go with for world card making day is friendship. I colored them all with warm greys, yet each witch has her own personal touch.  Cause we all know that we are unique in our own way!!!

IMG_1000
Here are my recipe cards, I made two of them cause I couldn't decide between the rest!  So head on over to the bombshell blog to find out what you can do to help me win a free stamp set!!!

Bombshell Hop

Now I know your saying Kelli, it’s not the last Wednesday of the month so what do you mean Bombshell Hop!!!  Well let me tell you all about it! If you get the Bombshell Newsletter then you already know that Shannon released a new Halloween digi set called Halloween Costume designed to work with your Bombshell Angel stamp set!
halloweencolor

Isn’t that cool!!!  I love them.. The DT members were give these a couple of weeks ago so that we could make some projects to show what we would do with them!  Therefore the hop!  So here we are… I have used two of the costumes for today, leaving one for another time.
The first is the witch costume.  I colored her with my markers and added some stickles.  Then I took the Bombshell sketch for this month and loosely used it for my card.  I lightly distressed the edges of all my papers and heavily distressed the sentiment!  I am thinking of using both of my projects today for Halloween sleepover invitations!
IMG_0932
For my 2nd project I used the Bride of Frank dress up!  She too is distressed and colored with copics, no glitter on her but the patterned paper has plenty!!
IMG_0936.

Now hop on over to see what others have made and if you started here you may want to go to the beginning of the list so that you don’t miss out on some wicked awesome projects!!!

"Varying Visages of Vincent"

Hello Again everyone.... Today I am sharing with you a charm/pocket watch/jewelry peice that I made using a tutorial I got from Susan.  Now, I know mine is no where as good as her's and I know what I did wrong, but honestly I am working on it!!!

Anyway the HDH challenge this week is:
Ok, macabre fans... this week marks HDH's 100th challenge! I can't believe it... who knew there were so many creeptastically cool people out there?! Thanks to everyone for tuning in and having fun with this little ol' blog :)

So, to celebrate this milestone, we're going to do a few things different this week >;) The general list of rules still apply (see sidebar), so be sure to follow them to be considered for the coveted Gruesome Twosome & Master of the Macabre titles!
Did you know that Vincent Price would've been 100 this year?!
Yes, so it is divine providence that this week's challenge is:
"Varying Visages of Vincent"
(translates to: the many faces of Vinny)
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that is inspired by the TRUE Master of the Macabre, Vincent Price.
A movie, character, poem, narration, song or quote... anything that the great Vincent Price has touched can be used for inspiration. You can find more info here

So this is what I came up with...
Yes that is Vincent!!!

Here is a close up, see not as good but I think pretty damn ok for my first attempt...Just sayin!
Yep, he's a little 3-D also!

What's in your Brew?

Hello Lovelies. Ok let's be honest with each other, it was a long long weekend with the hubby and kids home from work and off from school for 5 days and I completely forgot that it was my Tuesday to post on Smudgy Antics until ummmmm like 9pm on Monday..... Soooooooooo, as most of you know I have several projects that I have made and posted that are works in progress so I decided to work on one of those.!!! In January I posted this lovely post for the S and S member hop! It was meant to be a place where I kept my everyday thoughts for journaling in my art journal and has turned into something completely different! Fo those of you who don't know I went to school to become a chef and actually finished and worked as a chef for a few years, then things happen and one thing leads to another and now I am a stay at home mom and I love it. I love to cook and am always looking for new things to try. My kids know this and have started writing down recipes or tearing them out of magazines for me(of course only things they are interested in!!!). So long story short, this has turned into a recipe holder of sorts. This is where I keep those bits and scraps until they are tested and voted on and then they are put into the bigger recipe holder!!!

Today I added a digi image from SI Mad Scientist set and the words Witche's Brew (which will be printed out and attached to the actual book!!!)... This is where I keep all my Halloween themed recipes. You know the kids are always bringing those home cause they involve candy or sugar most of the time!!!Anyway, I am sorry I didn't do something more elaborate for you today, I will try not to forget next time!!!! Hope you enjoy!

Bombshell Hump Day Hop

Hello Lovelies!!!  Yes you are reading the post title correctly, it's time for the return of the monthly Bombshell Hump Day Hop!!!!  I was so excited when this was put to the DT members if we wanted to resurrect the hop so to say and very very excited that my friend Alison decided to take over!!!

This month is awesome and I can't wait for next months either!!!!  This month Alison said:

Goth up your Bombshells!!!

Yup! Let's break out the heavy eyeliner, dark, edgy clothes and let's turn those beautiful pinups into creatures of the night! Don't forget to draw some tats and chokers on to your girls too! We're going to dress 'em up Alison style!

And I have to say it just may be Kelli style.....  Now I didn't go short skirt hiking boots, or fishnets and torn shorts, although I have several Bombshells colored in that manner....I just didn't choose those to be my final project!!!  Nope I chose the one that was inspired by Morticia and Elvira with a little Lady GAGA thrown in there for good measure.... I mean why pass up the opportunity for the ultimate Bombsell!!!!

Now the Bombshell was stamped out and colored with copics and stickles.  Her skirt is a piece of Halloween ribbon I had left over!  The patterened paper with the lips was a RAK and the silver cardstock from Michales.  The skull in the background was a digital add on once  the card was complete!!!   I just realized that I can use this as a twofer.... Ms. May Bombshell has a challenge on the forum!!  Now hop on over and see what everyone else has made for you today!!!!!

Black Friday

Hello Lovelies,

I couldn't resist posting this today!  I totally hate leaving my house on this day!!!  I mean I like saving money and all, especially since my kids are older and only want big ticket items for Christmas, but I am not about to go out there and fight someone for a laptop, or a DS, or anything!!!  I will not go to jail for hitting someone over the last tickle me elmo, or anything, but I will hit you!!!  JUST SAYIN.....  Anyway, As I am safe and warm in my house, still in a turkey coma and loving it!!  My SAINTS beat the cowboys!!!!!  WOOT!!!, anyway I just had to make this card!  It is mostly digital although I did hand color the KennyK digi with my copics!  I also wanted to make something for the Smeared and Smudged Sketch challenge so I followed those guidelines as well!

I do have to say that if I was closer to my dad I would totally go with him "shopping".  He "shops" by sitting on the bench holding the bags and people watching.... I could totally get into that!!! LOL!!!
Hope you enjoy!

S and S November Sketches

Hello lovelies!  I think I have finally recovered from 31 days, although just barley!!  Today I have for you a 2fer!!!  I have a scrapbook page that I have created using the sketch from Smeared and Smudged November Sketch challenge.  AND what's the one rule at smeared and smudged that we must follow?????  Use a stamp somewhere on the project!  SO I used a very lovely digi stamp called Winter Chickadee from Hodgepodge stamps!!

This page includes  a couple of pictures from the very first Thanksgiving at my house.  We had just moved in earlier that year, so my dad and my sister and her family decided to come for Thanksgiving at my house!!!  It was fun, and you know your a grown up when your parent(s) come to your house for Thanksgiving!!!  Although, I have to say that was the only time they came..... must be the 1200 miles in between the houses that stops them from coming every year!!!  Oh well, by next Thanksgiving I will have yet another house (hopefully my last move) and maybe they will come then!!!

OK, now I am off, I still have Smeared Ink, Bombshell, and more Hodgepodge stuff to do before Steven(hubby) comes home in 7 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
