Day 30 of 31

Hello Lovelies, one more day to go!!!  Are you excited?  Are you sad?  I don't know what I am either...both I would say!!!!  Today I have for you a 4x4 wooden canvas.  I saw this stamp at Michael's and had to get it because I knew it would be gone quickly... I was right because I went back two days later to get another for a friend and they were out....that sucked!!!  Anyway I knew I would use it a lot and I did...Not only for this project but for several others as well!!!

So I painted the wooden canvas black and stamped with versamark then went at it with silver perfect pearls and there you have it.... Simple yet very elegant and cool looking....Hey by the way did you know that to make sure perfect pearls doesn't smear you have to spray it with water?????   I didn't until recently, go figure!!!  Oh well good to know I can still learn!

Isn't that a cool stamp!!!

The texture is me being impatient....I couldn't wait for the paint to dry on it's own so I took my heat gun to it and look little bubbles, which is ok with me, but some people may not like it.

Day 28 of 31

KEEP SCROLLING FOR THE BOMBSHELL NEW RELEASE HOP!!!!!!

Hello Lovelies, today I have for you an 8x8 canvas I made.  This is a technique I learned recently and love it....I want to do more canvases like this one with different shapes or maybe just adding it and letting be whatever it wants to be!!!

Isn't that cute!

There are stamped images everywhere...these are inkadinkado but there are images from SI, christy tomlinson, yeah a lot because the background is covered with patteren paper(like the kind you sedw with) that my daughter and I stamp as we get it, usually from good will, and then throw it in a box to use when we need it...

LOOK  the pumpkin is made from rolled up book paper!!!!  How cool is that!!!!

Day 14 of 31

****If you are looking for the Forever Night Challenge Blog blog hop please click here!!!****

Hello lovelies, today I have for a some coasters I made back in the summer.  I made these for a friend of mine, and actually mailed them off already, although I am quite sure she has not received them yet.  If you don’t know who they are for when you see the images then you haven’t been around smeared and smudged very long!  I took my stamp set to the local pottery place, where you can go and paint pottery,  chose this set of coasters for her.  I painted them a light grey and then stamped the images with black.  I think they turned out wicked!!!  What do you think?
IMG_0985
I used Quoth the Raven stamp set from Smeared Ink.  Now do you know who they are for!!!  10 Points to the correct guess!!

Skull appreciation day Blog Hop with Smeared Ink.

Hello lovelies! If you happened upon this post just by visiting my blog, thank you very much. If you want to participate in the Skull Appreciation Day blog hop, please start your hop here. If you are following the SAD hop, you should have come from Alison’s blog. My name is Jewel, and I am cajunstampingqueen’s daughter. A few days ago she told me about the Skull Appreciation day blog hop and I wanted to contribute my artwork into the hop as well! I started out with one painting, but in the end I wound up with two!
The first painting I did was a skull that I sketched out on a canvas. He has flowers and flower veins coming out of his eyes and head. He is silver and sparkly, plus he has an awesome smile. At first, I wasn’t too happy with this guy but with the help of my wonderful and creatively fantastic mom, she helped me find the beauty in what I tried to make in the beginning. IMG_0230
During the time that I wasn’t so confident with the first painting, however,  I started working on another one. He is a pink sugar skull, and he believes  that he is the king of everything! He wears a massive silver crown on top of his pink head! He is surrounded by  cut-out flowers in an assortment of colors, and he is very bright and festive.
 IMG_0227
My mom made a fantastic project! It’s so awesome that I would love it if she made me one as well! She used safety pins, silver wire, a few beads and skull heads and turned them all into one bracelet! It’s silver and gray, and the skull heads are little charms. They’re extremely charming if I do say so myself!
 IMG_0239IMG_0238IMG_0237
Her bracelet was also made for the Junk Funk challenge on the Smeared and Smudged forum.
Thanks for stopping by my mom’s blog, she and I really appreciate you. Leave us some love!!!! We have some wonderful sponsors today; Smeared Ink, Strange Skin, Delicious Doodles, Bringing up Salamanders, Black Dragon, Creepy Glowbugg Creations, Scentsy, and others. Day 18... Nevermore

Today I have for you a coffin that I altered.  I painted it black then color washed it with bronze paint to make it shimmery.  Then added distressed images from the Quoth the Raven stamp set(Smeared Ink).  On the inside is a quote (also from the set) so that my little skele friend doesn't get bored twiddling his thumbs!  Cause we all know that while we are laying in our coffins we are always looking for something else to do!!!

So remember to leave me some love and then go off and give my other wicked blogging friends some love!  The rules and regs are at the top of the page in there on special little tabby thing!
C-YA tomorrow!

Smeared and Smudged Member Blog Hop

Hello my lovelies the time has come for the Smeared and Smudged Member blog hop for June!  I am so excited about this as I got to use my new set Killer Bo Peep for my project!  Unfortunatly there is only one picture as the camera died before I could get more snapped!!!! ERGG.

Anyway this months theme was open, meaning we could do whatever we wanted to do as long as there was a stamped image somewhere on the project.  I chose to make another tag using my new Killer Bo Peep set!  She is so freaking awesome it isn't even funny!  Check her out over at Smeared Ink

I used a lightweight chipboard along with decorative paper and paint to create my background.  I then used my copics to color Peep and her counterparts in some freaky cool bright colors. Stampin Up cardstock and some fuzzy ribbon round out my lists of ingredients used to make this guy!  I don't know if I love her hair the most or those little mushrooms but whatever it turns out to be I am in love with this set!  Here is my tag...

I was so excited to use my new Smeared Ink stamp sets! The one chosen for this project is Elementals!!! That stamp set is awesome!!!

I chose to alter a canvas for this project. I took a 8 x 10 canvas and painted it dark gray, then took the image that I had blown up** and attached it to the canvas. Painted it in different shades of gray and then added some gesso to the canvas and dry brushed in shades of gray. I added the origial size image colored with copics to the corner.

I hope you enjoy this hop and don't forget to go see the other projects, there are some awesome ladies in this group and I am proud of everything that they do! If you wanna know more you should hop on over to the ning group Smeared and Smudged

Mama Said Knock You Out...Bombshell Style

No seriously, that's what she said! Well I guess she didn't mean to get violent this time though, at least thats what the lovely Inky Button says! Nope just time to dust off your PUNCHES and use your NESTIES (QuicKutz, Sizzix, Big Shot etc.) so that we could create our next Bombshell Masterpieces!!!

So here I am thinking about all the movie theater party pictures I have and the home movie nights we have so I thought, Picture Frame time! I used a wooden picture frame I got from Michael's for 75 cents and Bombshell sets Sugar Skulls and Alter Skulls to create this Fright Night Movie Night frame! I added gesso to the frame then when dried dry brushed with black acrylic paint, fire brick red, marmalade, and pine needle green distress reinkers from Ranger products.

Make sure to visit each and every blog listed and leave comments to be entered into a drawing for this lovely prize package!

I haven't even started making my Christmas cards yet and I am usually done with them by now! There is just so much going on...

For the ornament I used grout, acrylic paint, microbeads, soft holly wheel and Holiday Tag team from SU, my bottle cap is filled with 2 part acrylic.

Mans Ruin Coffin

Welcome everyone to the last Wednesday of our 31 Days of Halloween extravaganza. Today is Bombshell Blog hop day and I am supe excited to be participating with them today!

The challenge for today was to use the coffin template that was provided to create your own Coffin and do it up Bombshell Style! That is exactly what I did... I had this little skeleton and thought that he would be perfect for this. I used several Bombshell sets, Mans Ruin, Bombshell Angel, Butterfly Queen, and Retro Cowgirls.

You know when you see something and you make up a little story in your mind about what happened...well thats what I did. I saw the coffin template and the skull and thought, why not use these Bombshell Pin-up on the coffin to show the reason this "man" found his way into "skeletonville". Well it made sense in my head!!! This is what I came up with. I painted the coffin black and then added my beloved grout to the inside so that it had that "fluffy" look, like the inside of a coffin. Then stamped the pin-ups in clay along with the skulls and the words Man's Ruin. I added little dots on the coffin lid with a paint pen and some bling here and there!!!

Pumpkin Pot Centerpiece

Hello everyone and welcome back or to 31 Days of Halloween! I want to thank everyone for their lovely comments on my posts. It makes me happy that you like my projects. I hope you enjoyed our embossing challenge from yesterday and I can't wait to see what you create.

Today I decided I finially needed to start on my inside decorations so I painted this cute little pot to look like a jack-o-lantern and then added flowers. He will be going on the buffet table with candles and other little things around the bottom. I think he turned out very cute and after Halloween I can just turn him around and then he's just a painted pumpkin for fall!!!

Day17... Spooky House Saturday

Hello everyone, Happy Saturday! I hope you are all having a great day. I just wanted to say how happy it makes me that you are all joining Terra and I on our Halloween excursion. I hope that you are all enjoying our projects and that you take the time to participate in them for yourselves.

Today I decided to make a SPOOKY ATC. This ATC was made quite honestly because my dremel tool was broken and we didn't have a bit small enough for the drill to make holes in the dominoes so that i could lace them together. The background is a patterned paper I made. I used chipboard and fingerpainted orange, purple, white, black, and green acrylic paints on it. While still wet I ran the SU spooky skyline wheel through it. Then sprinkled black and orange confetti stars, orange glitter and green glitter on it. The Haunted House image is one that I got from the $ spot at Michaels. I stamped them with stazon in and colored with paint pens and sharpies. The word at the bottome is from a set of stickers that I bought eons ago. So let me know what you think of today's project, and remember to hop on over to see what Terra over on Smeared and Smudged created today!

Day 13... Wicked ATC

Hello everyone, first let me start off by saying thank you so very much for all of your lovely comments. It makes me very happy to know that you all like my creations. I hope that you all enjoyed our Monday challenge of Pumpkins. I also hope that you all will participate in our challenges.

Today I decided to make a wicked ATC. This ATC was made for a swap that I do over on Pennywisearts Yahoo group. The background is a patterned paper I made. I used chipboard and fingerpainted orange, purple, white, black, and green acrylic paints on it. While still wet I ran the SU spooky skyline wheel through it. Then sprinkled black and orange confetti stars, orange glitter and green glitter on it. The skull image is from Bombshell stamps. Stamped on white cardstock with stazon ink then misted with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and slate alcohol ink and colored with sharpie pens. The rose is stamped in clay and after baked and cooled, colored with sharpie pens and alcohol ink. The word was printed from my computer.
So let me know what you think of today's project, and remember to hop on over to see what Terra over on Smeared and Smudged created today!

Day 9... FRIGHTFUL FLIGHT!

This is my answer to using paint on a card or project that Terra issued on Tuesday!!!
I posted in an earlier blog that I was starting a chipboard journal of sorts to have samples of my art, and I thought this would be a great page for that journal. The butterfly is a image I received for being a part of the Scrapbooking and Crafting Design Team and it is from MyGrafco. I thought something a little different was in store for this cute little flyer!!! I used prismacolor pencils on the butterfly and accented him with blue metallic paint. For the chipboard page, I painted it with several layers and several varying colors of gray, ranging from white to black. I drew the spooky tree on after it was dried and then painted it with metallic black. Something I found out while doing this project is that if you use enough layers of paint, when you bend the chipboard it will crack giving it a weathered look without having to use a crackle medium! I love that look.

So let me know what you think of today's project, and remember to hop on over to see what Terra created today!

Journal for Gutter Girlz Challenge(prompt#29)

It's that time again. Time for the Gutter Girlz Challenge, which of course I look forward to every month. This month the Prompt is I'm not ur Bitch..Bitch, The song is U and Ur HAND by Pink, and the product/technique is Lipstick. When the challenge was issued i immediately thought about doing this journal for my daughter, and then the more I thought about it the cooler it got in my head. So I went for it. I found these journals at Michale's a few months ago in the clearance isle for 49cents so I picked up a few. My friend Terra gave this tutorial over on the Bombshell forum for making decorative paper with paint so I ran with that idea also. The stamp I used on the paper is from SU from their Just Jawing set. I thought about the song and remembered a part of it that I believe every parent would like for their daughter to have enough self confidence in themselves to be able to say to a boy when they venture out on their own,(of course according to my hubby my daughter has to be married before she can date! LOL), so I put those verses of the song on the inside cover for her to remember.

I think everyone at some point in their lives needs something or someone they can vent to. I also know that there will be times when you need to write everything down before you can talk about it, therefore the journal for my daughter. So here is the Journal. I would love to know what you think.

AWESOME SKULLS!!!!!

My friend Terra told me about these paper mache' skulls and of course I went right away and bought a couple of them. Then they sat here for a few days while I figured out what they were going to look like in my head and now here they are!!!!! Let me know what you think! Terra says her skulls will be done soon!
